Markets!

This is no typical pasar malam okay? I would say this is slightly atas but not so atas? Hahahhaha. Anyways, this is like sort of a bazaar that is held fortnightly at The School, Jaya One. That's in Jalan University, Petaling. So I was told about this from Cynthia, the owner of Tanksfor5. I've talked briefly about this in my older post >>> http://smallminitiny.blogspot.com/2014/04/part-ii-of-big-celebration.html Anyways, on the 12th April which was a Saturday, Alisha and Joyce and me went to Markets!

   Selfie in the car

Nice Easter egg welcoming us at the entrance of The School, Jaya One

The biggest thing we see here when we reach

Swap Party!

Basically, you pay an admission fee of minimum RM5.00 (we paid RM5 each #themalaysianway #paytheminimum!) and you bring anything that you don't want or need to exchange with something else that catches your eye. Think one man's trash is another's man treasure. Something like that. I brought a nice baby blue off shoulder crop top that I couldn't wear, totally new okay? I was kinda disappointed that some really bad people treated this as a dumpster. I mean you should've seen I should've taken pictures (fail blogger fml) of the stained clothes, clothes which rubber elastic has been stretched like a hammock, etc. And some clothes there smell mouldy. Omg these people! Geramnya!!!! Anyways, you bring an item and then you'll get a coupon which you can use to exchange for something you want from the whole pile. And this is for charity okay?!! Admission fee is collected to be sent to the CHOW KIT YOUTH
1 pre-loved item = 1 coupn = 1 new pre-loved item!

Well anyways, I think the organisers of this Swap Party could do better. I mean, it is not stated what kind of items could be brought over to swap. When we reached there, the girls there told us that we could bring clothes or books, or any items to swap wherelse in the poster, it only showed shirts. And they didn't even warn people to bring stuff that are in a good condition! This is so unfair for those who brought nice stuff and couldn't find any good stuff there because some people decided to dump their spoilt stuff there and expect to bring home nice stuff.

Poor Joyce, she brought so many nice dresses that she doesn't want anymore. I don't know why she has so many nice ones. I'm guessing maybe it's because she got tired of them already? Or maybe she has soooo many other nice dresses and she needs to make space in her wardrobe?

But still, I managed to find a really nice white dress from the big pile of mess. Surprisingly it fits me perfectly and it wasn't too long. This is a really important point you know! Because I need to alter the length of most of my clothes. Especially long pants. Oh, but I have to mention that although it fits me nicely, it is kinda uncomfortable to wear. It's the fabric la. Although it has inner lining, I can still feel all the tiny strands of fabric pricking me. Haihhhhh that's probably why the previous owner discarded the beautiful but thorny dress. But then again, where's beauty without a little pain? ;)

A colourful bunny piƱata welcoming us (and also to cover the big bundle of mess)

One of the stalls which offers paper goods! Omgggg I love all of them #paperkilleralert

Badges from funky warnings to memes to kpop to adventure time. Okay sorry for the blur pictures. Very paiseh to take pictures of their booths without asking

Make your own accessories stall! Okay somehow this is really common. I think I spotted 4 of this kinda stalls

twenty3 WAREHOHUSE SALES!!!

I got a red dress and a cream tutu skirt from here!!! Omgggg the owner, Sheryln is really sweet. Her sales is RM65 for 2 items (RM32.50 each), rm100 for 4 items (RM25 each!!) and RM200 for 10 items (freaking RM20 eachhhh!!!!!). I wanted to get 2 items and Alisha also wanted to get 2 items which means we can get RM25 for each item! That's a good bargain already! And to top it off, we were allowed to combine our items with this big group of girls who wanted to get 8 items. They needed another 2 more items to make it RM20 for each piece and Sheryln let us combine our items so all of us get to buy at the lowest price, at RM20 each!!! She has marketing strategy covered! GREAT DEALS, GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, NICE & FASHIONABLE CLOTHES, GOOD QUALITY, ETC!!! Definitely buying stuff from her again! Click >>>> http://www.twenty3.my

This is Alisha buying her bracelet from one of the many almost-same stalls

So Fetch. I remembered this term being said in Mean Girls. Ehem! On the serious note, They carry clothes, bags, necklaces, earrings, pouches, etc. They haz nice accessories! Omg I wish I brought more cash

And also not forgetting, tanksfor5!!! It was Cynthia who told me about this little event and I'm really thankful for that. Don't know if she remembered me or not but oh wells

Entrance of The School, Jaya One from the side. With behind the scenes of some food stall

Another food stall which I didn't get the chance to buy :(((

There's so many other stalls here that I forgot to take pictures of and also sooooo many food stalls that I didn't see! But I can definitely smell them. I remember smelling pizzaaaaa. I was so hungryyyyyy I almost died, but then it started pouring heavily and we got a little wet trying to run back to the basement, into the car.

Spotted this cute little snake thingy on the way back to the car

These are sooo cute also right!!! Wanted to sit on them to pose for pictures, but they look kinda fragile and I don't weigh a feather you know? And there's also the DO NOT SIT sign :( humphhhh

Then in the car, Joyce brought out thisss!!! Bless her soul because I almost died of hunger. Btw I'm sad because I didn't get the chance to explore for food. Blaming it on the rain! We have no idea what this is... But I think I tasted almond and sugar and something sweet and salty... Almost like macaroons, but there's something different there with a hint of caramel... Hmmmm would someone please shed some light thank you. It's from m'lune btw as you can see

Tryin to take a nice picture in the car but it's impossible. I tried. And we were too hungry to wait for a traffic light so that I can take a nice, clear photo. Food waits for no one!

I like their cute smallminitiny macaroon, cake and cookie icon/logo

Trying on the same top together in different colours :)

I just met Joyce earlier that day and I think we had quite a lot of fun for a first meeting. Joyce is Alisha's cousin btw. She's very interactive and was really sweet to me. Probably because we're only a year apart so there's no age gap. Can totally outcast Alisha dee. HAHAHAHHAHA This 2 people have so much in common like dimples, beautiful features, and also the same amount of sampatness.

They spotted their uncle and aunty from afar, looked at each other (gave the are you thinking what I'm thinking look) and then ran over and screamed at the relative to get their attention. The whole incident was just too funny. From the way the look at each other, to the way they ran and also to the way the shouted. Makes you wanna chuckle but also face palm the wall.

A selfwie of the 3 prettwie girls lol so perasan macamyestapibukan

A picture of Misiao and Alisiao because we had the same top and matching colour shorts. And the same leg pose wtf
